Nineways Broadmeadow c1920

From Lost Newcastle member:

The hotel in the background is the Premier Hotel.
The tram you can see is actually a ‘trailer’ being pulled by a steam powered tram engine. This pre-dates electrification which began in 1923.
The motor lorry has a signboard “Adamstown”, so perhaps it is a bus.
The building on the right is a large waiting room for tram/bus passengers, with a lean-to toilet behind it. The ‘tower’ is a sewer vent pipe.
Down the side of the theatre are two petrol bowsers for the Mobil petrol station.
