Slept over at girlfriend’s parents house at Speers Point and when I awoke in the morning a substantial Weeping Willow was laying on the ground beside my VW, cuddling it. Miraculously, no damage to the VW. The journo I had swapped a shift with at the SMH Newcastle office was less than impressed. He had been run off his feet filing stories.
