Stone Shelter Sheds – South Newcastle Beach

In 1904, Newcastle council initiated beach improvements, resulting in the 1907 construction of the stone shelter sheds at South Newcastle Beach to serve women and children. These structures, part of historical beach enhancements that included reusing dressing boxes from the closed Corporation Baths, have been preserved as part of the contemporary Bathers Way project.
