Lost Newcastle is a proud supporter of the Vera Deacon Regional History Fund at the University of Newcastle. Each year, we make a donation to the fund to help support the important work of the university’s regional history archives and collections. 

Snails love letterboxes. Our postcards are made of high-quality papers and we want them to arrive in your letterbox in pristine condition. Our bags are actually BOP (biaxially oriented polypropylene) which is food grade, they do not yellow with age, are stronger than ‘cellophane’ and are acid-free. They are a ‘number 5 recyclable’ so check with your local council to see if you can pop them in your recycling bin or not. In the City of Newcastle, they can be placed in your Curby recycling bag.

Yes. This is at the heart of Lost Newcastle – saving stories. We all know that we should ask more questions of our parents and grandparents while we have them, but all too often we just don’t get around to it.
